Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, FAM149A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated FAM149A data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher FAM149A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated FAM149A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
STAD, COAD, and SKCM are the cancer types where FAM149A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
