Across TCGA patient cohorts, DEFA5 mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 29 significant associations in total. SKCM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible DEFA5-associated genes across cancer lineages are FKBP4P7, CREB3L2-AS1, and SOCS2P1. Each is linked with DEFA5 in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both DEFA5-to-partner and partner-to-DEFA5 results are reported.
