Across TCGA patient cohorts, CYP26A1 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 634 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible CYP26A1-associated genes across cancer lineages are CDC37L1, PLA2G4A, and SMPDL3B. Each is linked with CYP26A1 in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both CYP26A1-to-partner and partner-to-CYP26A1 results are reported.
