Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CRYZL2P-SEC16B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 10 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CRYZL2P-SEC16B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where CRYZL2P-SEC16B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CRYZL2P-SEC16B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, KICH, and BRCA are the cancer types where CRYZL2P-SEC16B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
