Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CNIH3-AS1 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CNIH3-AS1’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where CNIH3-AS1 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CNIH3-AS1 is over-expressed in tumor.
HNSC, LUSC, and LUAD are the cancer types where CNIH3-AS1 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
