Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CHRM3-AS2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 8 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CHRM3-AS2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where CHRM3-AS2 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CHRM3-AS2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, KIRP, and KICH are the cancer types where CHRM3-AS2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
