Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CHCHD2P8 RNA is linked to patient survival in 20 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated CHCHD2P8 data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher CHCHD2P8 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated CHCHD2P8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as READ and BLCA show a favorable association.
HNSC, READ, and MESO are the cancer types where CHCHD2P8 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
