Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, CALM2P4 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 6 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of CALM2P4’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where CALM2P4 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types CALM2P4 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, BRCA, and HNSC are the cancer types where CALM2P4 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
