Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, A2M-AS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 28 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated A2M-AS1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher A2M-AS1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated A2M-AS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD and LUAD show a favorable association.

STAD, PAAD, and LAML are the cancer types where A2M-AS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
