Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZYX RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ZYX data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher ZYX RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZYX expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and SKCM show a favorable association.

MESO, LGG, and ESCA are the cancer types where ZYX RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
