Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF77 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ZNF77’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where ZNF77 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ZNF77 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LIHC, COAD, and THCA are the cancer types where ZNF77 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
