Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF556 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ZNF556 data layer compared with 10 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher ZNF556 RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZNF556 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRP and SKCM show a favorable association.

KIRP, SKCM, and COAD are the cancer types where ZNF556 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
