Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZNF426-DT RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ZNF426-DT’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where ZNF426-DT RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ZNF426-DT is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, KICH, and LIHC are the cancer types where ZNF426-DT tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
