Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZKSCAN5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ZKSCAN5 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher ZKSCAN5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZKSCAN5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, BLCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where ZKSCAN5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
