Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZIC5 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated ZIC5 data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher ZIC5 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZIC5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, LUSC, and BRCA are the cancer types where ZIC5 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
