Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZFP69B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 17 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ZFP69B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where ZFP69B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ZFP69B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

HNSC, KIRC, and COAD are the cancer types where ZFP69B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
