Across TCGA patient cohorts, ZFP36 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 5,773 significant associations in total. HNSC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible ZFP36-associated genes across cancer lineages are NAMPT, HBEGF, and EGR1. Each is linked with ZFP36 in more than 3 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both ZFP36-to-partner and partner-to-ZFP36 results are reported.
