Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZDHHC11B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ZDHHC11B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where ZDHHC11B RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ZDHHC11B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BLCA and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BLCA, THCA, and LUAD are the cancer types where ZDHHC11B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
