Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZC3HAV1L mass-spec protein differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of ZC3HAV1L’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where ZC3HAV1L mass-spec protein is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types ZC3HAV1L is over-expressed in tumor.

CCRCC, LUAD, and LSCC are the cancer types where ZC3HAV1L tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
