Across TCGA patient cohorts, ZAN RNA expression is significantly associated with the go_rna of many other GO terms, with 7,128 significant associations in total. STAD shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible ZAN-associated GO terms across cancer lineages are Regulation of nuclear-transcribed mRNA catabolic process, nonsense-mediated decay, Mitochondrial gene expression, and DNA conformation change. Each is linked with ZAN in more than 18 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both ZAN-to-partner and partner-to-ZAN results are reported.
