Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, ZAN RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated ZAN data layer compared with 7 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher ZAN RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated ZAN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and ESCA show a favorable association.

ACC, HNSC, and KIRC are the cancer types where ZAN RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
