Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, XG RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated XG data layer compared with 2 for mutation status and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher XG RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated XG expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and CHOL show a favorable association.
STAD, ACC, and LGG are the cancer types where XG RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
