Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, WNT8A Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated WNT8A data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher WNT8A Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated WNT8A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD show a favorable association.
ESCA, LIHC, and UCEC are the cancer types where WNT8A Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
