Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, WNT5B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of WNT5B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where WNT5B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types WNT5B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BLCA and UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LUAD, BLCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where WNT5B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
