Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, WNT5A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated WNT5A data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher WNT5A mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated WNT5A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and LSCC show a favorable association.
HNSC, GBM, and LUAD are the cancer types where WNT5A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
