Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, WIZ Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated WIZ data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher WIZ Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated WIZ expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.
UCEC, READ, and BLCA are the cancer types where WIZ Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
