Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, WFDC8 RNA is linked to patient survival in 17 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated WFDC8 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where higher WFDC8 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated WFDC8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and BRCA show a favorable association.
LIHC, KIRC, and LUSC are the cancer types where WFDC8 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
