Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, WFDC5 RNA is linked to patient survival in 20 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated WFDC5 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher WFDC5 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated WFDC5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRP and ESCA show a favorable association.
OV, KIRC, and KIRP are the cancer types where WFDC5 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
