Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, WFDC11 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of WFDC11’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where WFDC11 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types WFDC11 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as PRAD and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, THCA, and PRAD are the cancer types where WFDC11 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
