Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, WDR27 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of WDR27’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where WDR27 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types WDR27 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

COAD, HNSC, and LIHC are the cancer types where WDR27 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
