Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, WDR12 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 17 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of WDR12’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where WDR12 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types WDR12 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUAD, COAD, and BLCA are the cancer types where WDR12 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
