Across TCGA patient cohorts, WAPL RNA expression is significantly associated with the protein abundance of many other proteins, with 11,702 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible WAPL-associated proteins across cancer lineages are VPS26A, NHLRC2, and SLK. Each is linked with WAPL in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both WAPL-to-partner and partner-to-WAPL results are reported.
