Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VWF Mutation is linked to patient survival in 13 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VWF data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in thymoma (THYM), where higher VWF Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VWF expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and UCEC show a favorable association.

THYM, MESO, and READ are the cancer types where VWF Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
