Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VWA8 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VWA8 data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 12 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher VWA8 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VWA8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and GBM show a favorable association.

LUAD, HNSC, and LSCC are the cancer types where VWA8 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
