VWA8

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VWA8 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 9 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of VWA8’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where VWA8 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types VWA8 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, THCA, and KIRP are the cancer types where VWA8 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
