Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VTRNA2-1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 16 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated VTRNA2-1 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in thymoma (THYM), where higher VTRNA2-1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VTRNA2-1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRP and READ show a favorable association.

THYM, UVM, and LGG are the cancer types where VTRNA2-1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
