Across TCGA patient cohorts, VTA1 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 8,822 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible VTA1-associated genes across cancer lineages are HBS1L, HEBP2, and TCP1. Each is linked with VTA1 in more than 7 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both VTA1-to-partner and partner-to-VTA1 results are reported.
