Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VSTM4 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VSTM4 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher VSTM4 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VSTM4 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
STAD, SKCM, and HNSC are the cancer types where VSTM4 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
