Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VSTM2L Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VSTM2L data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher VSTM2L Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VSTM2L expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, LGG, and COAD are the cancer types where VSTM2L Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
