Across TCGA patient cohorts, VRK1 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 19,776 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible VRK1-associated genes across cancer lineages are CDCA4, MCM5, and CDKN3. Each is linked with VRK1 in more than 9 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both VRK1-to-partner and partner-to-VRK1 results are reported.
