Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VMP1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated VMP1 data layer compared with 31 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher VMP1 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VMP1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and BLCA show a favorable association.
UCEC, BRCA, and LUAD are the cancer types where VMP1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
