Across TCGA patient cohorts, VIRMA mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 45 significant associations in total. UCEC shows the largest number of these associations.
The most reproducible VIRMA-associated genes across cancer lineages are Caspase-7-cleavedD198, 4E-BP1, and Cyclin-B1. Each is linked with VIRMA in more than 4 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both VIRMA-to-partner and partner-to-VIRMA results are reported.
Each partner links to its own Q-omics profile. The box plot shows the strongest example, Caspase-7-cleavedD198 grouped by VIRMA-low versus VIRMA-high in COAD.
