Across TCGA patient cohorts, VHL mutation is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 468 significant associations in total. KIRC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible VHL-associated genes across cancer lineages are RNU6-746P, MTCO3P41, and C11orf40. Each is linked with VHL in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both VHL-to-partner and partner-to-VHL results are reported.
