Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VEGFD RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated VEGFD data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD), where higher VEGFD RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VEGFD expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PAAD and LUAD show a favorable association.
PAAD, KICH, and UVM are the cancer types where VEGFD RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
