Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, VDAC1P2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated VDAC1P2 data layer.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher VDAC1P2 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated VDAC1P2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as READ and KIRC show a favorable association.
UVM, LUAD, and ACC are the cancer types where VDAC1P2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
