Across TCGA patient cohorts, VDAC1 RNA expression is significantly associated with the protein abundance of many other proteins, with 15,557 significant associations in total. LSCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible VDAC1-associated proteins across cancer lineages are HSPA4, LARP1, and YTHDC2. Each is linked with VDAC1 in more than 6 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both VDAC1-to-partner and partner-to-VDAC1 results are reported.
