VCAN

protein abundance — cross-omics
Cross-omicsPROTEIN-MS → RNAPatientPairwise association · TCGA cohorts

Across TCGA patient cohorts, VCAN protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 15,723 significant associations in total. BRCA shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible VCAN-associated genes across cancer lineages are DACT3, MYL9, and HTR2A. Each is linked with VCAN in more than 9 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both VCAN-to-partner and partner-to-VCAN results are reported.

Each partner links to its own Q-omics profile. The scatter plot shows the strongest example, VCAN versus DACT3 in BRCA, with a Pearson correlation of 0.66.

protein abundance associated genes by consensus

Ranked by combined sampling and lineage consensus. X-score (VCAN→partner) and Y-score (partner→VCAN) are standardized regression coefficients; both directions are reported because the association is undirected. p-values are from the association test.
