Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, USP16 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated USP16 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher USP16 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated USP16 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and STAD show a favorable association.
HNSC, UCEC, and PRAD are the cancer types where USP16 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
