Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, UBL5 RNA is linked to patient survival in 29 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated UBL5 data layer compared with 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher UBL5 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated UBL5 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and CHOL show a favorable association.
KICH, UVM, and ESCA are the cancer types where UBL5 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
