Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, UBASH3A mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated UBASH3A data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher UBASH3A mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated UBASH3A expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC show a favorable association.
LUAD, HNSC, and LSCC are the cancer types where UBASH3A mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
